"PERMISSION TO VIEW" THE ART EXHIBIT

KARTINI GALLERY is pleased to announce the reopening of the gallery after months of hiatus because of the quarantine mandate by law that prescribed art galleries not to operate on specific quarantine levels such as ECQ, MECQ and Alert level 4.
PERMISSION TO VIEW is an ambitious collaboration of three renowed artists; Bert Monterona, Janet De Grano and Gilbert Angeles. The three artists are a genius in their respective style in concept and rendition of their artworks.
Bert Monterona has won numerous international and local awards as a muralist and is known for his works of a rich overlay of multifarious motifs, such as cloud scallops, flowing rivers, triangles of mountain ranges and an intoxicating mixture of color and texture.
Janet de Grano's masterful strokes capture nature that captivates the soul, somewhat magical in transforming one's awareness and presence in fusion with the universal soul of nature.
Her renditions reflect both the realist and impressionist style of 'naturalism' and pleine air forays define her lighting style in her paintings.
Gilbert Angeles uses recycled single use plastic to create attractive pieces of contemporary abstract paintings. His concept connects well with nature which has caught the attention of local and global art communities in his advocacy in protecting the ocean and the environment. Angeles creates beautiful colors and textures in his masterful renditions.
