Jojo Garcia
When the subject is Pop Art and jeepney, the first person that comes to mind is Jojo Garcia. He is an alumnus of UE and Philippine Women’s University in Fine Arts. He was an animation artist for 15 years before he became a full time visual artist. His artistry is vibrant and full of life and color. His fondness for distortion, swirling brush strokes, use of garish colors and employment of the repeating image device as composition format are so uniquely Garcia’s style.
